Peter Martens

Peter’s passion for real estate development can be traced back to his first job after graduating from the University of Manitoba with a degree in civil engineering. He worked at a small family business that quickly grew into a significant construction, development, and property management company, focused in western Canada.

For nearly 30 years, his company built thousands of multi-family units, along with significant office and retail space. After moving to the U.S., Peter applied his real estate expertise to residential development and industrial land investment. Today, he heads up the Martens Development team, known for its boutique approach to industrial real estate development.


David Martens

David’s extensive education includes a degree in biochemistry from Arizona State University and a JD/MBA. He lends his particular management and legal expertise to help grow the company at Martens. Prior to his current role, he was in a variety of healthcare leadership positions.

Bringing his deep management experience to Martens, he currently oversees 2 million square feet of development, which includes deal sourcing, joint venture structuring, budget management and leasing.

Lisa Larson

Lisa manages the day-to-day business activities at Martens, including finance, human resources and everything in between. She’s that rare person who actually enjoys spreadsheets and budgets.

Lisa grew up in construction on the retail side. After attending college at the University of Arizona, she returned home to Prescott to assist in the family hardware store, Nail-Co Building Supply Inc., as its office manager. Five years ago, Lisa relocated to Phoenix, where she was able to continue in the industry as the operations manager for a construction supply company before joining the team at Martens.

Senior VP, Design and Construction

John “Bo” Larson

Widely known for his dedication and commitment to excellence, Bo coordinates overall design and construction initiatives for the Martens portfolio, from initial due diligence through shell / sitework / campus / infrastructure development, lease-up activities, and active involvement in construction administration/move-in and project closeout procedures.

Bo has a B.S. in architectural studies and was a practicing architect with multi-industry experience for 27 years, in Illinois and Arizona. Before joining Martens, he was a development manager at Trammell Crow Company and provided project services for over two dozen Fortune 500 companies.
